Intellego Technologies hires new international team

STOCKHOLM (Aug 13, 2021) — Intellego Technologies today named Laila Moreno Ostertag to the position of Manager of Research and Development. Originally from Mexico, Moreno Ostertag is currently based in Austria and holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Vienna University of Technology. She will be responsible for managing overall product development and associated patent registration for Intellego’s global line of UVC Dosimeter products.

“We’ve seen increased demand from global companies that want tailor-made [UV disinfection] solutions,” said Claes Lindahl, CEO of Intellego Technologies. “Laila’s knowledge will be valuable in order to quickly develop these new products and applications.”

“I’m looking forward to working on real-life applications to advance UV detection technology,” Moreno Ostertag said. “It’s like being a chemical detective.”

Moreno Ostertag’s doctorate was earned for her work on adhesive and electrochemical properties of surfaces from Vienna University of Technology. She previously worked at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Iron Research with a focus on surface interactions.

“As we’ve seen over the past two years, we must use several approaches to overcome health challenges related to viruses,” Moreno Ostertag said. “I believe UV technology is an important tool to get rid of pathogens in an effective way, and I’m excited about the chance to develop products that will contribute toward a safe environment for us all.”
